On Sunday, 27th May the band played a short concert at a family fun day in West Wellow at Willow Tree Farm where they breed Alpacas. The farm is owned by Clare and Simon Faul. Clare is the daughter of one of our longer serving players Brian Chambers.
The afternoon was geared towards raising money for Wellow Under Fives. The warm weather and fantastic sunshine brought the crowds out in their masses. The number attending far exceeded Clare and Simon’s wildest dreams. Several hundred people turned up to ride on ponys, bounce on castles, meet the alpacas and get their faces painted. The children had a good time too!
The band played two half hour sets for the visitors protected by a gazebo in the sultry conditions. The band were much appreciated by the people attending.
